Ossana
Ossana, for a holiday dedicated to history and traditions, cross-country and downhill skiing
Ossana is the political, administrative and ecclesiastical centre of the upper Val di Sole valley, and it is the seat of the Municipality, which includes the villages of Fucine and Cusiano.
The town is overlooked by the Torre del Castello di S. Michele (1191), a tower built up on a hill inhabited since the Bronze Age.
The Ossana cross-country ski centre hosts important competitions every year, such as the Italian Nordic combination championships and numerous youth competitions. The ski runs wind through alternating landscapes, some sections are sunny with an open sky, others delve into the forest. If you are lucky, you can spot deers and roe deers, that come down to the valley looking for food.
Runs are user-friendly and suitable for all types of skiers, from beginner to expert levels.
The Folgarida-Marilleva and Madonna di Campiglio ski area can be reached from the nearby town of Mezzana.
